Listing Secretary & Sales Assistant
Betsy Messenger was raised in the small seaside community of Qgunquit, Maine. In the fall after graduating from college she helped deliver a power boat from Boston to Ft. Lauderdale and has lived here ever since. While working in the coffee shop at Harbor West Marina on SE 17th Street, she met her husband who introduced her to sailboat racing. After finishing the Southern Ocean Racing Circuit they headed to New England for a summer of chartering and racing the Frers 46 they were running.
After returning to Ft. Lauderdale in the fall, Betsy was offered a part time job at Fraser Yachts for the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show which ended up as full time for 11 years. During that time she worked closely with Bruce Schattenburg. The next nine years were spent at International Yacht Collection as Listing Secretary. Betsy joined Bradford Marine Yacht Sales in 2010 as a listing secretary and sales assistant.
When not at work, Betsy enjoys summer vacations on the Southwest Coast of England with her husband and 2 daughters, boating, and entertaining the many visitors they have from the US and Europe.
